Ofsted and Challenge Partners
As of March 2017 Mulgrave Primary is proud to be a Good school. Ofsted found Mulgrave to be a rapidly improving school where pupils not only achieve well but are keen to learn. The inclusive atmosphere at Mulgrave has nurtured an environment where pupils are friendly and have welcoming attitudes. The inspection also noted how leaders within the school set targets for development and provide effective training to staff to help sustain the good improvements and expections.
On the 1st March 2019, the school was visited by a team of external reviewers from Challenge Partners, a national group that we invite in every year to carry out a collaborative peer to peer review of our school.
Our visitors were a group of 4 reviewers made up of an Ofsted Inspector, two Headteachers, and a Senior Assistant Headteacher from schools based all over the country.
We are absolutely delighted to report that after two rigorous days of observations across all subjects, and reviewing our data outcomes results, self-evaluation and School Improvement Plan, our visitors confirmed our belief that Mulgrave is an ‘Outstanding’ school. Our provision for improving Reading across the school was identified as an ‘Area of Excellence’, and an example for other schools who may wish to seek support in these areas.
